Ten years ago, from the collaboration between a company of creation and an opera house, the opera Vertiges came to life. The writing commission to a composer and a poet suggested an original creation process in which the character, coming from the clown, would exist before the clever music and in which the libretto would be able to bring together, thanks to a work on language, very distinct artistic families: those from the classical opera, from the musical theatre and from the contemporary theatre…

« Watch out Vertiges (Vertigo ndlt) ! Loss of balance between opera and theatre, reason and madness, oration and clowning » Télérama 2001

« A genuinely new form- and not only renewed- of musical theatre might come to life. Actually, Le Grain already brought it to its climax as showed the total work of art Vertiges II (…) the group of tumblers gives its best moments with its harlequin doll- a living puppet which lean on makeshift crutches. The singing violinist sums up the philosophy of the all: We are not much. »Die Welt, 2006
